Chapel / Fine Arts Building
Bartlesville Wesleyan College
Bartlesville, Oklahoma

The 37,000 square foot Chapel/Fine Arts Building has become the "signature" facility for this small private college in northeastern Oklahoma now renamed as Oklahoma Wesleyan University. Its central location on campus and architectural form provide a symbolic statement to the public and an organizational focus for the college. Composed of three separate "volumes," the design expresses the tripartite program contained within: 1) an 800-seat Chapel Auditorium, 2) a 200-seat Performance Hall for lectures, recitals and drama, and 3) a wing containing classrooms, faculty offices, music practice studios, a band/choir rehearsal hall, and an art studio.

All facilities have state-of-the-art audio-visual and electronic capabilities including Internet and Intranet campus network connections. Externally, the clay tile roof and "stucco" skin complement the existing Spanish-style campus architecture.
